CSW ticker delays.

Sue,

If you could, I'd like you to email me at:

mailto:java@canada-stockwatch.com

Using email, we should be able to go into this in a bit more detail.

What we do know, is that recent improvements to our Level II data displays have resulted in us pushing more trade and quote information at the Ticker applet. Whether or not the Ticker applet can keep up seems to be related the the number of Level II windows you have open, and the number of Intra day charts. The slowdown comes in the display processing of windows that have to update when new data comes in.

Suggestions:

1) If you are using a multi-day chart for a fast trading NASDAQ stock, set the time scale to 10 or 15 minutes.

2) If you notice the Ticker starting to lag, try closing some chart windows or Level II windows.

We will be examining a few areas where our display code can be improved and will be making improvments in the next applet release. We are also planning a visual indicator to warn customers if this situation developes.

Thanks,
Gerry Rempel
