I grabbed his throat and walked him backwards through two rooms and through him on the sofa. I had beefed up a bunch. That was the saddest day of my life. He always tried hard and came from a German back ground and was under pressure as a small business owner. And my parents were 42 when I was born, their only child. In '83 he went into a coma and the family left. Leaking aneurism. After they left the Bears started winning a game and he woke up. We spent most of the night talking and worked everything out. He died the next morning during a Barrymore movie from the 40s about a hospital. I'll never forget how his eyes showed the difference from alive to dead.
