Matrox speeds editing
Matrox Video Products Group (stand 7.812) will be hosting the first European sighting of its newly released Matrox RT2000 as well as putting its DigiSuite DTV real-time editing platform through its paces.
DigiSuite DTV was launched at NAB in April and supports the full range of compression formats, audio and video I/O and connectivity interfaces.

"Its primary strength is that it allows native format editing without recompression and therefore there are no artefacts introduced into the edit that weren't there already from any proprietary tape format you've imported from," comments Peter Gallon, marketing communications manager, broadcast video and imaging. "We've also chosen MPEG-2 I Frame as the editing method for MPEG, which we believe gives users the most flexibility and best and fastest access to their material."

Aimed firmly at the prosumer market, Matrox RT2000 has been designed to take full advantage of the company's new Millennium G400 accelerator card, delivering broadcast quality 3D DVE and 32-bit uncompressed, animated graphics in a native DV editing environment.
