I searched for Amplidyne as an assignee. If you will notice this patent was issued to Davender Bains the CEO and owner of 38%. The company claims in their SEC filings that they now own this patent, as I assume Bains sold or gave it to them.
I found out many other interesting things in the SEC filings.
The CEO, his wife, and his brother are the top officers.
They have had to take their compensation in stock because the company is near broke.
In order to meet NASDAQ listing capital requirements they had to issue floorless conv. pref. stock("death spiral") six months ago.
They issued warrants for 90,000 shs. at 1.125 to certain NASD members-I assume for promotion.
Their are outstanding a bunch of warrants which the company can force conversion on at 6 if they keep the stock over 9 for 20 days.
Almost all of their sales last year were to one Korean customer who deferred delivery.
The two interesting aspects of the story are that the technology may have some merit, and they have I guy from Lucent on the board who sounds interesting.
Odds are this is a roman candle, but I can't say with absolute certainty they are toast.
