While I respect your opinion, I must state that I disagree with it.

Ok, what type of government does corporate america most resemble? Certainly not democratic. How is/was the rise of some smuck in Russia through its party any different than Lee Iacocca's rise to run a car company? Religion is also a form of government.

Getting back to RHAT. I think/know the current model of software development IS A JOKE. Open software development works because of the "Dilbert Principle". Have you read you Dilbert today? Bet you've done this:
dilbert.com

And DragonFly is correct - My current project has 4 Developers and 4 Program/Process managers for the project. Have been working on it for 9 months - it will be trashed after Y2K.

The current management structure is inefficient, if you don't realize this then Open Source movement will kick ye behind, because you haven't seen nuttin yet. Do you realize the software that runs Yahoo and Mindspring is all open. The new companies have a chance.

And please don't thank me for my comments. You aren't at some meeting brown-nosing the boss.
