Inder, many thanks for the article. To me, the most interesting part was how Y2K-inventory build up has boosted short-term demand for electronic parts. That explains ahead-of-forecast(by ~4-5%) chip sales in the last couple of months. That explains the action in TQNT, RFMD, PMCS. TXN, INTC.... In the last few weeks, I have been puzzled as to why INTC has been acting so strong. I couldn't figure it out and that was sort of bothering me. Now, I know why. Thanks again for pointing out that article.

I hate to think about how seasonally-driven post-Xmas slowing demand, coupled with any inventory build up will affect earnings of richly-priced tech stocks by Q1/2000.

I'll talk to our manufacturing people by next week to see if we are doing the same.
