Yes, ODP is on the NYSE, and you have a very good question...hopefully someone more astute can answer it.
We DO know this was a buy:

However, the other NR's were like the following and only said "crossed" by SSB...:
Block Trade - Office Depot <ODP.N> 4,108,000 shrs
at 10-1/2, up 1/4, crossed by Salomon Smith Barney.

so, your deduction is logical, tho, looks to me that SSB made a tidy profit selling some at .50 MORE than they paid!
Is it ODP buying BACK some shares or is it someone else wanting/buying them, all at the uptick? |
