Gerry,
Thanks for responding on the thread.I like Sue have concerns as well regarding this CSW feed.

1)In the morning when I fire up the computer I get about 3 errors as the data is being transferred and have to re-boot.I have a system I use now that takes about 10 minutes by clearing the cache and clearing memory and then when the portfolio screen comes up I do an individual Java chart usually wit BII.When it is open I then close it and fire up the ticker. It usually works until you add another new ticker.

2)I have been told that if I have an extremely busy stock that this slows the ticker down or loads it up causing the system to lock up.I have even been told to close them down.If I am daytrading on momentum I want the fast movers open as those are the ones I want to trade so I close all the non momom ones down instead.

3)Nasdaq has never been real time from what I can tell.It can run from 3 minutes to as long as 10 minutes behind and this has cost me money as well.I think from the screen I am selling near a top and put in an order only to find out the stock has already turned and headed south....THIS IS NOT GOOD.

4)I have experienced the same problem as Sue with regards to the screen going gray and locking up in two areas.a)When I open an untra-day chart and b) when I am deleting stocks from the ticker usually in the afternoon.

As Sue said we are paying for this and I must tell you it is extremely scary to try and daytrade with information that is delayed and or for fear that at a crucial time you ticker may lockup requiring a hard re-boot.

Now I am getting a bit gray in the temple areas but I don't want that to be premature gray. Please shed some light on these re-curring problems.I am sure others have noticed the same problems and will post you with the same.FWIW I am running a 266AMD 3D Now Chip on a 1.2 GB hd on and ADSL connection with MPower in Nova Scotia.I have 64MB sdram and had a computer tech re-do my computer back in November 1998 when I had similar problems before thinking it was my computer....not so.
