You may be right here. Kook is a slang term. I'm from the deep South, and slang words are used here frequently. Those in other parts of the country may very well be offended by the use of slang.

Perhaps I could have chosen a more appropriate word to emphasize for this thread, but if using the word 'kook' is all it takes for someone to avoid this thread, then they are obviously missing the big picture.
