Now I am getting confused. I was reading some stuff on Xanana Gusmao, who everybody seems to be looking at as the presumptive leader of the Timorese, and the articles talked about him as the leader of the Falantil geurillas. So I've been using that name, and suddenly it sounded wrong, so I looked it up, and the main resistance group has always been Fretilin. Now I have to figure out is whether they are two names for the same group or if Falantil is a splinter group under Gusmao.

I recall Fretilin being accused of left sympathies, I should check on that too.

And all the good sites are probably in Bahasa, of which I understand about two words in seven.

Keeping informed is a pain in the ass.
