Daniel,
This is the 'civil' side of the bbs (IMHO). The short board (to me anyway, is a free-for-all). So persona's change accordingly (including mine).
This guy Dilbert is a non-issue to me. Not even worth a passing yawn. I put my two cents in, I'm done. As far as taking anything further, I have 'no problem' with doing that kind of thing either. Enough said on that.
You'll have to admit though, that my intuition was correct in reading you as a MSFT employee though, right? (Even though you are not now).
Anyway, I respect your opinion and you are entitled to it. However, you must respect mine also, and understand why I react the way I do when someone (anyone) pontificates to me (I take what I read here to me, yes...) about the merits of a single company that IMO (and I've been in this business... well for awhile <grin>).
I've been in operations, programming, systems and managment as well as consulting, but that's neither here nor there. Right now, I, (and I know) other's question MSFT's business practices, not only towards NOVL, but the industry in general. I also know, that MSFT has a LOT of business enemies out there, but they are intimidated and are afraid to buck the trend (for now). Well, as far as me:
I never did take any sh*t from anyone, don't now, and won't ever. And I'll call it, or anyone like it is anytime, anywhere. I don't care WHO the person is.
That's me. And believe me when I tell you, I am not anything like you might picture me to be. I am not some computer dweeb or dorky kid trying to talk tough behind a keyboard. I say what I mean, and I mean what I say. Like I said, I respect you, your opinion, and what you believe in. If you think Dilbert did do some 'Strafing Runs' on the short board, tell me. If you didn't, tell me also. I think I know what the answer is.
Nuff' said. Good luck to you. And if you are gonna trash, please do it with style -- I like that! <grin>
Regards,
Joe. |
