Just to clarify. The 3 software companies (JIT, Edify, Home Account) are supposed to help the 3 banks with bill creation. Spectrum is supposed to handle distribution and eventually payment. (that is the plan anyway).

The problem I see is that OFX 1.5 doesn't come close to the current Generation (or next) of CheckFree's E-Bill. Some billers won't mind having the equivilent of a scanned bill, others will (and will want more marketing functionality, integration with accounts receivable, tracking, etc.). OFX does not cut it. IFX is close, but nowhere near finalization from what I can tell, IFX has been rumored to favor CheckFree more than the banks.

Distribution is the key. In the end If a biller wants to present on AOL or Yahoo!, they will have to come through CheckFree (not to mention the Schwabs, Merrils, and all the other banks CheckFree has.)
