Weather, much improved. With the opening of school, it has been a couple of weeks since the last time I went to Washington (to catch an Eric Rohmer movie and some delicatessen), and this weekend is shot because I have to do fundraising for my son's high school music program, but things looked beautiful in town at the end of August....My wife has been invited to a luncheon meeting on Capitol Hill between association executives and a congressman (in this case, Chris Shays), so she will get to sup in one of the power centers...My son is enlivened, after a bit of ambivalence about starting school...I have been perking up, after some moodiness following grandma's death, and have been putting the final touches on some brochures I had to write....
