The problem with Chinese participation in a peacekeeping force is the long history of anti-Chinese sentiment in Indonesia. It was not that long ago that China was backing the PKI, and that the Indonesian army and their supporters were slaughtering actual and suspected PKI members.

It's complicated, but the bottom line is that Chinese participation would probably be totally unacceptable to the Indonesians.
