You sound like you are actually supporting the protectionistic policies that were used to exclude CDMA from competing in Europe! While the U.S. has a long history of market protectionism in markets other than telecommunications, I actually support the actions taken to allow U.S. technology to compete in Europe.

Europe correctly saw the GSM-CDMA battle as akin to Boeing-Airbus.

You are not making much sense. Are you saying that CDMA shouldn't be allowed to compete in Europe? What is your point?

I have a detailed report from Chris Larsen at Prudential which says that NXTL's theoretical user capacity is 48 million users. Assuming they are off by half, that's still 24 million users.

I would like to see that. Do you have a link?

I am a long-term investor who doesn't look at the stock market as a way to make a quick buck but rather as a vehicle to long-term wealth. I invest in companies that have a guaranteed future and I root for the small investor over the grey suited broker whores. It troubles me when I join in the discussion (hopefully in a productive manner) and encounter blurry thinking and hostility. I am not here for that but to discuss issues that can have a profound effect upon share prices. It seems that those that actually understand the technical issues have already left. I can see why.
