Actually it isn't the bandwidth that determines the utility of CDMA, but how much 'crosstalk' there is. And in real mobile systems a lot of crosstalk is inevitable since the only way to avoid it would be to lug a dish around which isn't very mobile. Thus is CDMA good in all mobile systems (although it is conceivable that there could be other technologies coming along that will be better (i.e. OFDM), but the jury is still out on that).
