Questions
1. where does a struggling young company get the cash to fund a medical research company?
2. what's the connection between upca and flores, where did he come from anyway?
3. why didn't flores go to a pharmaceutical company rather than a used car salesman?
4. the day before the press release announcing the cure for aids, they announce the formation of a warranty company for car repairs. if they really had the cure for aids would they care about announcing the warranty company?
wouldn't there time and efforts be on flores?
5. when flores came to them with the supposed cure for aids, didn't management think to check it out first?
6. don't you think the reason they jailed flores was due to risk of flight? they probably caught him with his bags packed.

Answers to Questions based on my research
I cannot answer 1 & 2 fully b/c #1 because the terms of UPCA and NT were never disclosed and only insiders would have this info along with the SEC, attorneys, etc. This should be disclosed in their financials.
#2 - I do not think that there are any relationships, so they may be acting as a venture capitalist and saw an opportunity that met their corporate goals.
#3 - Mr. Flores approached Merck company four years ago and did not want to put money in this effort. Their reasoning had to be along the lines that they thought they would find a treatment/drug to prevent AIDS before this company or his research showed. Someone asked if I had a URL to the case in Colorado, I do not, but it one of the most interesting cases to review that I have looked at and yes family is involved and later he was released without cause. Figure this one out.
#4 - Warranty Company - With several dealership deals pending at the time of this breaking lose, the company was still proceeding with their core business while litigating and defending themselves in this venture. This doesn't seem out of the norm, coincidental.
#5 - Due Diligence by UPCA - What the company should have checked and verify was the information contained in the press release to prevent the date inaccuracies which still exist in every press release to date, even the latest ones by the SEC. It seems they did not proof their dates as well. I believe the company knew Mr. Flores history, but if you can deliver and may have impact on the entire world, then some things can be overlooked. Read the Colorado case, even if the reporters would research, there is more to this story and litigation than what is being told to the public.
#6 - With assets frozen of the company, it is hard to post bail. In addition, until he is extradited to New York, bail will be denied. To convince a judge of criminal history and criminal intent is not that hard to do and this is how they got a signed search warrant. More information will be brought forward, however, the fact remains that people in Spain are being treated and have been treated for the last 9 years with this HIV treatment and the results have been phenomenal. They are going to have a hard time indicting based on the current evidence. The company has not skipped town, they are still trying to operate under these circumstances and they are holding their position.
If anyone should file suit, it is those groups that are involved with HIV as they would be the best group to get involved in testing and would profit the most. I think they should claim that they are being denied a treatment that the government has known knowledge exists and yet is prosecuting. People who are sick should have the right to take their own life if they choose even if it is voluntary/experimental.
I am holding and not selling, if they have a preventive treatment for AIDS, there will be a buyer and this will be a non-issue. Business will go back to normal and I would venture to state they will stay with their core business from that day forward.
