I don't live in the left coast but I do follow PVN. When you see a fiancial company net income is growing at the rate of 60% or so, it does raise eyebrows. Not only they target the higher credit risk customers but also screw them as well.

One guy from a collection agency in Chicago called my second phone no. a year ago and said I owe them money. I have had their card some 3 years ago but when they posted one of my payments late and insisted that I was late, I gave them the bird and cancelled the account. I was afraid that they somehow managed to penalize me for that also (I am not kidding.) When I argued with that guy, I later found out that they were after the guy who had that phone no before us. [On a different and yet related note, later I got a collect call from a local prison on the same line. The next thing I did is change the phone no. -g-]
