I think the decision of the Kansas School Board is absurd, and a great leap backward for education. Almost 400 years ago Galileo was brought before the inquisition, tortured, and imprisoned because he violated religious dogma by teaching that the earth orbited the sun. It seems we've advanced only slightly since then. Those who advocate "creation science' [now there's an oxymoron!] say the biblical theory cannot be disproved, so it has equal stature with evolution. Well I have a theory too: The entire universe and everything in it was created 5 minutes ago, complete with fossils and contiguous memories. Prove me wrong. :-) ...Mezz -
