Vinod, PMFJI , but .... VK: I am not disputing your logic. I am not trying to diminish MSFT's success based on how they achieved what they achieved. Why I DO get P*ssed off (and IBM was just like that, where do you think MSFT learned it from?), is -- I'll repeat a post I did again: How much can a giant monopoly get away with compared to a large competing firm? In the US, quite a bit. Look at the recent federal action against Toys R Us compared to the whitewashing job the DoJ did for Bill Gates. What was the crime committed by Toys R Us? They exerted undue influence on manufacturers by refusing to carry lines of toys that were sold in discount stores. They said it wasn't a crime, it was just business. The feds said you can't do that. Not unless your name is Bill Gates, evidently. VK: Understand what I mean? It ain't just NOVL we're talking about here? Regards, Joe<speaking for myself and myself only>
