Bux,

Would you please get off it. It is obvious that you are not in a position to debate the technical intricacies of either a TDMA or CDMA based system, let alone allow it to influence others in the correlation to shareholder value or investment recommendations. Nextel is currently in the best spectral position since their inception. You may fail to remember Nextel was not a major player in the overzealous spectrum auctions. This was partially due to the creativeness of their founders converting out the old SMR band. Spectrum Engineering is the major challenge for ALL technologies. What's this mean in layman terms? Nextel didn't go into debt in achieving their spectral position. Spectrum equals revenue when you have a network to utilize it. The capacity challenges you are referring to are not a current detriment, nor will it be in the foreseeable future.

In addition, please cease your "educated guesses". They add nothing to this board.

~~"In case you are interested, the engineer confirmed my educated guess that less disruption would be caused to the CDMA based system."~~

Tropospheric ducting impacting ANY cellular system is as likely as solar flares causing you a noticeable blocking or dropped call increase. Your fundamental question highlights the fact that you are at best vaguely versed in telephony.

If your babble causes Arnie to drop from this board, I find it very unfortunate. Arnie is one of a number of positive contributors that have brought great insight over the last 3 or so years.

I know what I know, and I know what I don't know. Maybe you'd benefit from practicing the same.

Regards,

John
