I think they licensed this technology to a large
Japanese consumer products manufacturer, I forget which one.

I remember hearing the "hang on a wall like a picture" TV
would be commercially available by the turn of century, but
I haven't read anything sense.

Good question, I forgot about this. There is a competing
technology to the one Tek developed, but if Tek's technology
is even a major player than the licensing could bring
in some good revenue.

If I have time I'll try to dig up some details.
