Mohan

I met a friend of mine who was at the Bhupathi-Paes doubles match.

He said that the pair were losing badly and were about to lose the match when someone in the stands started singing "saare' jahan se accha hindustan hamara". Many people joined in on the chorus. And that gave them the impetus to charge ahead.

They were on the point of losing the last point of the match when someone in the stands shouted 'hindustan zindabad' (I believe it was that or something similar). Adn they went on to defeat the opposition who got so upset that one of them broke his racket right on the grounds there.

Apparently this story is in Wall Street Journal although I have not looked for it.
