Ya know you are right just because the SEC investigates doesn't mean their actions will help the individual investor. Most action they take kills the small guy. Maybe there are events I'm not aware of but If you watch the outcome of there actions you will see it almost never helps. They freely admit they are way under staffed. They are interested in busting firms, promoters and companys that they can fine to bring in revenue and the little always gets screwed. If anybody knows of a case where the investors benefitted I'd really be interested in hereing about it.
