I went there once when I was about 16 or 17. There was a lot of beer drinking going on, a lot of loud radios, good vibes and rock n roll prevailed. I didn't notice anything Thoureauvian. I've heard that since then they have endeavored to clean it up and preserve things. I know the original cabin has long since disappeared. It was 72 or 73 when I was there, I understand they've done a lot since then to bring it back to a more or less pristine state.
