eight(actually about 7 6/8) is the absolute near bottom of the forth elliot wave in the SRC weekly long term chart, the top is about 13 for an average of about 10.

If we believe in the company long term in spite of the negative quarters earnings, then the best purchase would be at 8 if hit but purchases below 10 would not be all that bad either.

Your points regarding Sybase are well taken. Its earnings began a decline the first quarter of 1995 and have been steadily declining since, consecutively, quarter by quarter.

Am I wrong in thinking that the superserver application is not leading
edge with a wide and growing potential market?

Or, is one quarters earnings decline at Informix portending the demise of the company? My crystal ball doesn't have quite that good of a resolution.

I do think if the company is sound, and superserver as well as their standard products still have current and future market weight then we have the potential of a very lucrative setup if we can stabilize in the 8 to ten range and eventually bring the earnings on line at a meager 15% then we could see 20 by about 2002.
