*Nice volume jump today giving us a related price rise.*

No kidding. It was slow this afternoon so I was watching the VARL tape . . . Guess what? From ~2:00PM EST 'til close 55,200 shares out of the 73,900 shares traded (58% of the day's volume) were unmistakably buys. In other words the trades were all marked as “highs” for the day. Another 13,500 shares could be counted as buys but could be market makers finding volume. Who knows.

Anyway, it is clear that someone wanted VARL today, and a bunch of it - in a two-hour period. This is one of those rare situations where the NASDAQ share count is actually correct in that the total is the total, not double counting. I am very interested to see how we proceed next week.

As you all know I do not pay a whole lot of attention to technical moves, but today's action caught my eye.
