Well if the TSE didn't do that they'd be able to run stocks up to the moon without ever having to answer for anything. Would that be preferable? I don't think it would be especially if those same stocks fell back down hard once the manipulaton/distribution phase was over.

We would have all kinds of criminal activity going on with TSE listed stocks if the exchange didn't do that. Be careful what you wish for . . . it's not always better than what you have. We have enough problems with the Canadian exchanges as it is.

I think the TSE interventions in these types of situations are what make the TSE better than most exchanges in the world. I would encourage them to continue doing it. Of course they should also do the same thing when a stock is dropping like mad. I don't think they do that often enough.
