Thanks for the link Elizabeth. By the first half of next year, Toshiba plans to ship samples of a 1-Gbit SmartMedia card that uses four stacked 256-Mbit flash devices. With that kind of storage coming so soon I wonder how long it will be before some computers are using a flash drive instead of a spinning hard drive. I know the cost will be much higher. Imagine how fast a PC would be using a flash drive. This goes along with what I mentioned in my last post. This could open a whole new industry to e.Digital. This new flash should really help the portable music players as well, 1 Gb would hold about 15 hours of CD quality music. Mark
