La Canada. I forget the name of the street I lived on, but it was the one that the sporting goods store was on the corner of along with Foothill Blvd. Beulah? I kinda think so. Sounds like a goofy name for LA. We used to go to Oak Grove Park from school 'cause it's right across the road. The one time I cut class (as opposed to just staying home and saying I was sick) I hid out there. I was supposed to give an oral report. No way. Finally the teacher got frustrated. She asked if there was any way I'd do it. I said "no", I'd cut school for the rest of the year. I wasn't gonna do it. She said I could give it to her in private, but I could only get a C at best. I said fine. Strange days, high school.
