Truedog, I didn't think you folks were discussing faith. I thought you were just speculating on when the Gospels were written. Of course, given that the oldest extant complete copies of the Gospel are quite late (about 3rd century A.D.), there are bound to be differences over when the originals were written. But even given those differences, just about every Biblical scholar, liberal or conservative, would still place their writing in the 1st century A.D. (although a few would date John as late as 150 A.D.).
