From Amsterdam Cyber Cafe. market continues to be a trader and stock-picker's delight. Not really going up but quality stocks are continually recovering from sell-offs providing excellent short term and position trades. Sector rotation also a good way to play. Drugs last months, nets on down days, telcos now, retailers a few weeks ago. Whatever sector gets suddenly hammered for no longterm reasons (earnings and future still good) then buy low and wait to sell high.
My only mistakes, not clicking on my APLX buy a month ago, plus selling a few too soon, and not loading up on IATV at $9 too.
Did it with KEA, WFMI, BEBE, ANF, PSFT, etc. Just bought IMRS at super-low $10 1/2 despite earnings warning can bounce quickly. MAST another one to watch. Longterm T is solid and will spin off internet division probably. COMS ought to be bought or spin-off soon. SHould be worth over $40.
Begin here makes me want to buy NOKIA. Everyone has a cel phone and theirs are the #1 brand by far.
Anyone started worrying about the October jinx though? Or did we already have it in August. I dunno. Then there's Y2K which ought to hit foreign stocks especially hard.
So I'm selling into strength. Sold WIND and PSFT too soon but made good $$. But there are always opportunities presenting themselves. So I'm buying too. Putting in low bid orders and higher asks and just checking in once in awhile.
Amsterdam girls? Oh yes. I'm a film director too which gives me something cool to flirt about. The real nice girls take time bnut found a flawless Finnish beauty only 22 whom I couldn't believe is a professional. And only $50 right across the street from my hotel. At that price I could afford to do nothing but have sex for life. Of course I'm really looking for Ms. Right. And there are plenty of them here.
I may be working here for as long as 5 years and making a mill or more a year. Not bad, huh? Knock on wood. Hope the deals close soon.
In the meantime, any opinions on IMRS, MAST? IMRS down almost 50% in two days. Never lived up to its earning potential but on the other hand their PE has come down from 70 to 14. Could make a killing if it bounces from 10 to 14 say, and make it quickly. On the other hand who knows?
Also opinions on QWST which still looks cheap in $27-$28 range. |
