That's because Democrat politicians apparently don't think at all, loudly or softly. Perhaps you were too young to remember Hillary Clinton's proposal to nationalize health care, one-seventh of our economy.

Nonsense. While not quite resembling the Libertarian Party, the Republican party is the party of less government intrusion into personal and economic freedoms. (The abortion issue is one of life, not of freedom, to pro-lifers in both parties.) As dems seek to confiscate and regulate everything from speech to guns to paychecks to coyotes to which doctor you can call, the repubs fight for our constitutional freedoms.
