JDN. Re: "ONLY a major move by institutional buyers could account for a volume like we had on Friday." Clearly with volume at 3X you have a very good point. CPQ was 1 of the 2 stocks I hold that were up 9% plus on Friday. Computer Associates was the other one. Last night, Rukeyser's guest said that there have been a number of tech conferences over the last couple of weeks. The consistent consensus from the companies was that Y2K was not going to cause a business meltdown. Hence the market has reason to relax. It's possible that something heard at these tech conferences indicated that CPQ would bounce back. Just a guess, but I'll take it. HL
