Most of the so-called Christian right are just average middle Americans who see their schools teaching kids things that are counter to what is taught at home, they see the courts handing down rulings that are contrary to what our 200 year old traditions are, and their reaction should be understandable. The loony left is never called upon to explain itself, they have their apologists in media and academe, so their agenda marches forward and if anybody so much as peeps, they are branded as radical and extreme. Its a very effective tactic.
