Hi Herc, as excited as I am about the "thin client" paradigm you refer to, you are so right. Sun's visionary "the network is the computer" is a promise yet to be fulfilled because the network is not yet robust enough to handle these demands. Yet, here I am investing in US Internetworking (USIX) and looking at Citrix (CTXS) and Tivo (TIVO). You're right about it being "Buck Rogersy", I just wonder how long before the inevitable shift takes place and these stocks will benefit accordingly. Here in Atlanta, the lack of reliability from Bell "Sloth" for ADSL and Media "None" for the gateway to cable modems is notorious. I'm 49 and want my life to be LESS COMPLICATED. Nevertheless, I plan to take a serious look at TiVo's IPO.
