About six months ago it became evident to me that Home Depot built a huge store someplace in Florida in the 491 telephone area code number. I came to this clever deduction when my phone began ringing off the hook and callers ( some with Southern accents ) started asking me about various specials being offered. The telephone numbers were identical to mine and the area code numbers has been transposed. After recieving dozens of calls one day, the evil thought entered my mind to tell the next caller that he/she was the ten thousandth caller to that store that day and was entitled to 500 dollars in merchandise as a prize. " Just ask for Billy Joe and I will help you around the store"...the evil thought disappeared. I tried to convince Home Depot to change the last four numbers to HOME...to no avail... We have had the same numbers for 25 years and for me to change my number would entail sending the change to hundreds of friends. To change it to a positive , I told my wife..." It could be worse. What if they were in a different time zone...like Hawaii?" Moral of the story:::" Don't sweat the little things"......nysebob2
