Technologyguy--

You asked:

>>>Why would you think these statistics would be enlightening in any way? An article from six weeks ago with data from February from a survey that had 14% responding....

To the best of my knowledge these are the most recent (and perhaps only) public numbers on the global security industry...And I think that the 14% responding/participating is a very "telling" percentage. You might think so too if you bother to think about what that woeful percentage might imply.

>>>Why do they print this stuff?<<<

I assume "they" print it because those were the numbers released in the report. Would you rather "they" have lied and printed better numbers?

>>>Why do you reprint it?<<<

I reprinted it because I noticed the article recently and wanted to share it with the thread.

If you have more recent numbers or better numbers on the global securities industry by all means post them.

If you are angered or disgusted by the numbers I think you need to ask yourself, "Who's really at fault?"

Certainly not me...nor "they" who report the numbers.

How about the laggards who aren't getting the job done in a timely fashion?
