"WHEN WILL IT END?"

I wish I had a way to pop this market bubble, but I don't. I'd like to see the inevitable crash occur already so that this gambling mania with the stock markets would end in America.

Last weekend, I discussed how the market was grossly overpriced with a person who is a financial advisor and who gives classes on investing. I could not convince this person that this was a bubble ready to pop, based on historical P/E ratios and other factors. I even mentioned how the prices of stocks were a "social construct" (see the writings of philosopher John Searle) and not a "hard" scientific property, like the law of gravitation, but instead, were based on what people were willing to pay at this time without any guarantees that the price would be this high in the future. This person said that as long as people stayed in stocks, there wouldn't be a problem. Ignorance is bliss!
