Les, I've read Sy's book, and thought it was very insightful; would recommend it to anyone. Riding the Bear : How to Prosper in the Coming Bear Market amazon.com He totally debunks the buy and hold mantra, and shows (backtested) how seasonality has a huge affect on market direction and trade timings for profitability. I also liked his recommendations for using options. Laura
