I got an interesting letter in the mail. Did you know that for every $3000 you transfer from another account into E*TRADE, E*TRADE credits your account with a free trade.

So if you transfer $300,000 you get 100 free trades....

I'm guessing the $3000 that E*TRADE hopes you transfer in will earn more then the $15 dollars or so in commission you would have paid them had you made a trade.
