Samsung has long been in China selling CDMA basestations. They have a handset factory started there. Your right that the Koreans will be going into China in a big way.

Also, Tiawan has been highly interested in CDMA since 1994, but they pretty much adopted a philosophy long ago to not try to reinvent the wheel and go wtih what works and has been selling. While Japan desgined their phone systems to reverse the rec and transmit so lock out all others, Tiawan adopted the same standards as the US to allow the AMPS system to flow in without any problems. I would suspect now that CDMA is the 3G standard, they will pour it into the country like water.
