Hi, Sue. My account with Web Street is a CASH account too since all I trade with them is penny stocks, not marginable anyway. I sold a stock I have held since God knows when to free up some cash to buy something else. PM me if you are interested in what that "something else" is. I am aware of a rule that says you can use the same cash only once a day. That is, suppose you have $2,000 in your account at the beginning of the market day, use that to buy a security, then sell that security the same day, you can no longer use that same cash till the next day. Check your situation with Web Street. Yes, DATEK. A friend talked me into opening an account with them too because of their speed of execution. And I like their streaming quotes. Found out after I transferred my securities from Suretrade to Datek that they do not trade OTC BB stocks. Could only liquidate what I had transferred at market. No deal, moved my OTC BB stocks in that account to Web Street. They have been very good with stocks on the big boards. Sorry to hear that the two kids are not feeling well.
