Tim:

I was going to send a PM but, seeing as how you get a lot flak publicly, I finally decided that compliments should also be made public.

I've been on SI for about a year and a half. Unfortunately, during the week I have only two 10-minute breaks and a half-hour lunch in which to scan the threads and find the pulse of the moment. "Lurker" is as good a name as any. After work hours and the ocassional free weekends are the only times that I can actually read, analyze, and respond.

I've read the pump-and-dumpers, the scammers, and the spammers, the lonely, the socializers, the literary, the profound and the profane. I simply do not have the time to wade through their postings. But I find I more thoroughly read your posts than those of others. I watched when you went toe-to-toe with TM, BD and other hot shots. You're intelligent, concise, in-your-face, and decisive. I like the style and there are only a few of you out there like that. By the way, your apology to IS was commendable. It marks your ability to reassess a situation and reverse course when necessary AND be completely above board about it.

Obviously, momentum trading is not something I can participate in. The fact that you offer the thread opportunities to invest in up-and-comers that rise to fruition in weeks and months is a huge plus. I've never felt that you intentionally left anyone high and dry, that you have been above board with all the facts...good and bad. In the end, we're all responsible for our own DD. Still, I want to thank you for providing a lot of insight, leadership, and hard work.

Buck
