I just visited the International Tungsten site:

itia.org.uk

and they have an interesting article on tungsten.
If you click on information on tungsten, you will
see the article, which also details the shift in production
from many other countries, to China, as the main producer.
The article is at least 1-2 years old but probably still
quite relevant.

One of the amazing items of information is that tungsten
was priced at $10 per metric ton in 1963, and rose
to $177 by 1977. As I mentioned in an earlier note, I
believe that the current prices are around $48/mtu., but
have been projected by NTC to go much higher over the next
several years, as the demand/supply situation continues
to develop in a direction favorable for NTC.

Cheers

Dan
