Sorry Richard; I've not read anything on SI for over a month. Been real busy with several projects.

I've not been talking a lot with J.S. lately, so I don't have a definitive answer for you. What I'd guess is something like this: Most of these really big corporations don't like small companies to be using their names, associations, and contracts in the public domain.

For example, when a small resource company that has a joint venture with, say, Homestake Mining, wants to issue a nwes release, it will first have to get the approval from Homestake. Homestake would review every word and make changes as it feels necessary. The little company usually runs the risk of litigation if it does not follow this procedure.

Why EMEC would not/has not given such approval is a mystery - but it isn't necessarily a big deal. I'm sure that if you can reach J.S. by phone he will give you a reason. And, as I posted here a long, long time ago, I suspect that he has been advised not to reply to specific questions via Internet chat lines. The regulatory agencies frown upon it - that's why you've seen lots of CEO's disappear from places like S.I.

Hope this helps.
