I see no problem either scientifically or theologically with such a view. I hold it myself. There is no reason that I can think of that "Let there be light" did not result in a Big Bang. The only problem is that in holding such a view, one must reject a literal view of the Bible. However, if you believe that the Earth is spherical, you must reject that view as well.
