Geez James, you really misinterpreted. I suppose there was a light-hearted side to it, but Frank provides more value to the Gilder thread than George does. Period. Frank's replies are far more in-depth and reflect far more hands-on know-how, so I figured why give the focus for such conscientious replies to the wrong person?

Frank also replies on far more different threads and topics than most can follow, yet I'm sure lots of these replies would be of interest to many people. Often times his reply on a topic pre-dates the point you develop an interest in the topic (so you'd either miss it or pull your hair out trying to find in within SI).

He also has many historic posts that answer questions that are probably asked on SI every day (like, for example, this one: siliconinvestor.com.

Since the search capability within SI essentially sucks, this is a way to consolidate links to some of Frank's posts that others have found useful and/or educational. If the thread turns into more than that, great!

The "inside joke" part of this thread's origin is the "Coluccio Technology Letter," which I (and others) have prodded him to start. Since he doesn't have the bandwidth to undertake such a thing, I figured this thread could serve as a proxy for it.

Boy, 'ya try to do something helpful and you get twisted into knots around here!<g>

So that's the story. Nothing more, nothing less.
