If there is one thing waco proved it's the futility of hoping guns will protect us from a government gone mad. Let's say for argument Clinton or some other madman declares martial law and suspends the constitution until the emergency is over (never). At that point whoever has the loyalty of the fbi, pentagon, and national guard will rule. If you or I thought we could resist against their firepower we would be dealt with in the same way Davidians were. I'm not against gun ownership by citizens at all -- I just know it offers no help in political unrest.
