Hmmm... This news could make MOT an interesting stock to watch after this morning's opening bell... Sept. 13. 1999 Motorola is in talks to acquire General Instrument, a cable-TV-equipment maker, in a stock deal valued at about $10 billion, people familiar with the matter say.
